Builder Day at the Capitol is only 2 weeks away! You may have gotten a call from BATC asking you to show up to the capitol on February 18th. That’s because you can make a difference! This is one of the most important days of the year for the homebuilding and remodeling industry. Builder Day at the Capitol serves as a way to get Minnesota builders, remodelers and housing professionals involved at the State Capitol, meeting face-to-face with legislators on the issues we face everyday.
Here are the top 4 reasons to attend Builder Day at the Capitol:
1. The New Building and Energy Code – We need to ask our legislators to help us delay, fix our newly adopted codes, and we must restructure the code process going forward.
2. Home Building Matters – Housing is 15% of the GDP and our work as the homebuilding industry is a key driver to our economy. Help us spread that basic message of housing affordability and economic impact.
3. Catch Up With with Industry Friends – Attendance has grown in the past two years and this event looks to be even better. Join your industry colleagues on the hill, and enjoy networking before and after with great food and drink at the spectacular James J. Hill reference library.
4. It’ll be Fun – As veteran Day at the Capitol attendees can attest, BDAC is fun! The conversations, networking, and advancing the key messages of our industry is truly rewarding and fun.
More than 100 members have RSVP’d already! Bring a friend or colleague and let our voice be heard. Register today.
