Tips for Submitting
- Read through the requirements. With a slate of new awards and updates to our criteria, make sure you familiarize yourself with what’s required before you start — eligibility, categories, fees, dates/deadlines, evaluations/scoring, selection, and who the judges are (if applicable).
- Gather materials. You may need to gather customer testimonials, photos, floor plans, or information from multiple people within your organization to complete the entry form.
- Start early. You don’t want to go to the work of putting together a submission only to miss the deadline. Make sure to allow time for drafting, review, photo selections, editing, and, if needed, client approvals.
- Go into detail. Take full advantage of the maximum word counts and photos allowed — the more content you provide, the better judges can comprehend the scope of your submission.
- Get personal. Make your submission memorable and unique. Tell the judges why you made certain decisions, what obstacles you overcame, or how you collaborated with partners. Share what sets this entry apart from the others and back your claims with evidence.
- Save an external file. Compile your submission in a Word Document before starting the online submission process. That way, if your internet connection is interrupted or you must finish later, you don’t lose any hard work.
