Effective Tuesday, March 31, 2020, any new residential home will need to conform to the 2020 Minnesota Building Codes.
The 2020 Minnesota Residential Building Code, Chapter 1309, is the most affordably-centric building code change in recent history. The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry has not yet taken any action on the adoption of a new Residential Energy Code.
The International Code Council will have the complete Minnesota integrated Residential Building Code available on April 6. Until then, you can view and download these important documents:

The success of the new Minnesota Building Code is due to the hard work of our members who served as industry representatives on the Technical Advisory Groups:
Code Administration: Mike Swanson (Brandl Anderson)
Residential Code: Brent Nygaard (Lennar)
Structural: Mike Barden (Pulte Homes)
Energy Code: Ross Anderson (The Energy Network Worldwide)
