In 1958, the Minneapolis Builders Association identified a need for recognizing excellence within the housing community. That year marked the very first Reggie Award, with three winners taking home prestigious trophies for excellence in homebuilding.
Over the decades, both our association and awards program have evolved alongside our growing industry. Fast forward to present day, where we present over 150 awards annually. These award-winning companies and individuals elevate the commitment of the homebuilding industry and exemplify what it means to be a Housing First Minnesota member.
Modernizing the awards
While minor program adjustments have been made over the years, it has been more than three decades since major updates to our awards. We’re excited to implement some strategic changes in 2024 and beyond.
Member feedback and extensive research highlighted the need for modernization to highlight the breadth of talent and innovation within our industry. We’re simplifying the entry submission process, refining categories to better reflect the changing needs of our members, and modernizing our judging process.
