What was a rare empty 30’ North Minneapolis lot, conveniently located off of I-94 and Broadway Avenue near the Kemps building, is now home to our Housing First Minnesota Foundation‘s latest Housing for Heroes build project. This two-story, 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom, 2,232-square-foot transitional house is our fifth Housing for Heroes build project for veterans experiencing homelessness. These Minnesota veterans will have access to services to support both physical and emotional health and begin their healing process.
The project started in October and construction has progressed quickly! The project is projected to be complete in February 2021.

Since 2017, the Housing First Minnesota Foundation has built over 14,375 square feet of housing for veterans and has added 18 shelter beds to serve over 102 individuals.
We are aiming to raise $200,000 for our 2021 Housing for Heroes and community build projects through donations. If you would like to support our build projects, please donate here.
This home was built in partnership with the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV). Lennar is the project build partner.
