With the recent surge in COVID-19 cases and the Governor’s actions to dial back on businesses that can remain open, Housing First Minnesota would like to remind all housing industry members to stay safe and to continue the good work of following your COVID-19 preparedness plans.
The work that the industry is doing to build homes for Minnesotans is more important now than ever. It is critical that the industry does everything to protect our businesses and the community by doing our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
All Minnesota employers are required to have a COVID-19 Preparedness plan to keep workers and the general public safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. A basic preparedness plan requires screening protocols to keep sick workers home, protocols for communicating positive tests, social distancing protocols, worker hygiene requirements, work site and ventilation protocols, cleaning and disinfection protocols, outside delivery protocols and communication and training protocols.
