Housing First Minnesota has partnered with Spring Lake Park Schools as part of our efforts to train and attract the next generation of industry leaders. As part of the program, the students in the Spring Lake Park High School construction program will be building a 24 foot x 24 foot shed.
The school has reached out to see if any of our members can donate materials to the program. The list includes:
- 20 2×4 lumber 12′
- 120 2×4 lumber 10′
- 5 2×6 lumber 10′
- 4 2×10 lumber 10′
- 26 2×4 lumber 14′
- 26 2×6 lumber 12′
- 34 pieces 1/2″ plywood 4×8
- 14 4/12 pitch trusses
- 2 48″x48″ slider windows
- 2 32″ w x 16″ h slider windows
- 1 36wx80h Steel entry door
- 1 10’x7′ garage door(rollup prefered)
- Shingles/tar paper for 24×24 shed
- Siding: Vinyl (prefer hardboard)
Any members who would like to donate will get an advertisement on the outside of the building, access to talk with students about careers, and recognition on our district social media/newsletters.
