Since early 2024, our Housing First Minnesota Foundation has been part of a project that has united our community like never before. Housing First Minnesota association members, Foundation committee members and staff, and students from Spring Lake Park High School’s construction trade program have all come together to support the nonprofit organization, Elevate Hope House.
Elevate Hope House is an organization that serves young, single mothers and their children in Anoka County, in need of safe and stable housing.
Through this partnership, we are constructing a three-bedroom home that will serve as a shelter for single mothers and their children in crisis. The construction, carried out by students from Spring Lake Park High School, is now nearly completed and ready to be moved to the lot in Ham Lake.
Lennar has generously volunteered to complete the land development and site prep work to ensure the lot is ready for the home. A long list of generous donors and supporters have helped contribute to this project both monetarily, through material in-kind donations, and through hands-on learning experiences with the Spring Lake Park students.
Thank you to our amazing partners for your support in this project! Visit our website to see our photo gallery, additional project information, and the full list of donors and contributors. If you are interested in involvement with this project, please contact us.
We look forward to seeing the house become a home in Ham Lake in January 2025!
