We Asked: How do you leverage social media in your business?
“I leverage social media to build brand awareness for Kohler, as well as my personal brand within the industry and my company. LinkedIn is a great tool to network with existing and potential customers and show them what your company has to offer, as well as how you are personally involved with the building industry and are committed to driving initiatives that support the industry forward.”
– Marla Abstetar, Kohler, Co.
“Social media is the most successful tool we use for marketing. We leverage this as a platform to showcase our portfolio as well as a behind-the-scenes look into our business, building trust and relationships through digital content. Additionally, as clients follow our work, progress, and wait for the reveal, they’re embedded in the project with us. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a familiar face and having them ask about a project by the hashtag reference. Social media has transformed how we do business, document our projects, and bring the community into our work. We have also experienced significant business growth since we’ve made a commitment to our content calendar and strategy. Social media is not a millennial thing, it’s a social tool with multiple avenues of exposure and endless marketing opportunities.”
– Katie Kath, Jkath Design Build + Reinvent
“Social media gives our business an opportunity to have fun and showcase our personality a little more freely. We use bold images, conversational messaging, and turn the camera toward our team to give it a more personal feeling. I like to check out what others are doing and try something completely opposite.”
– Kristina Mahler, MA Peterson Designbuild, Inc.
“We utilize social media not only to show off some of our favorite projects, but to create more awareness as to what we do as custom home integrators. We also find inspiration from what our peers are doing nationwide and use social media to stay connected with them. Social media helps us stay up on trends by knowing what our friends and colleagues are currently working on.”
