Highlights From January 2023
- Statewide, the inventory of existing homes fell .3 months.
- At $523,330, Minnesota continues to have the highest median new, single-family detached home price in the region. The median new home price in Minnesota is 22% higher than in Illinois and 30% higher than in Wisconsin.
- After falling early in 2022, Minnesota’s housing deficit grew rapidly throughout the second half of 2022. Through December 2022, the state’s housing deficit is nearing 63,000 units and increased 26 percent since 2018.
