The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) and the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) will be hosting webinars, where members can learn more about paid leave, sick and safe time and labor law changes by attending. DLI: A guide to earned sick and safe time

Details: This webinar will provide an overview of the ESST law, including how ESST is earned, used and carried over. The session will also cover technical assistance resources, administrative rules and recent updates.

DEED: Introduction to Paid Leave
When: Thursday June 12, 12:00pm – 1:00pm
Details: This monthly webinar series is put on by DEED’s Paid Leave staff to explain the basic elements of the program and answer questions about how it impacts both employers and employees. The sessions will be held monthly through November 2025.

DLI: Updates to Minnesota labor laws

Details: This webinar will provide an overview of recent updates to existing Minnesota labor laws, as well as highlight newly effective labor laws in the state over the past two years. Topics will include earned sick and safe time, updates to nursing accommodations under WESA.
