BATC is proud to endorse these candidates for election/re-election to the Minnesota House of Representatives in the upcoming November 4th races.
BATC’s endorsement reflects each candidate’s commitment to a strong housing market and the belief that just as each home is important to the family that lives in it, housing is essential to the local, state and national economies. We are confident that these candidates are pro-housing leaders who share BATC’s goals of a balanced regulatory structure, housing choice, affordability for all, and economic strength for Minnesota.

BATC’s Criteria Used to Determine its 2014 Endorsements
BATC uses specific criteria to determine its endorsements. These include: the candidate’s demonstrated support for housing issues, leadership on key housing issues, candidate electability, and a strong housing and business voting record for incumbent candidates. For incumbents, support on housing issues was determined by bill and amendment authorship, committee and floor discussion support, voting record and staff/consultant recommendation. For new candidates, BATC staff and member leadership interviewed all new candidates to discuss our industry and measure support on key regulatory and policy issues.
