Bob Bennett, President of the BATC Foundation, and Bill Burgess, President of Lennar Minnesota, cermonially handed over the keys for the brand-new home for veteran-headed families to the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans this weekend during a special ceremony for Armed Forces Appreciation Day at the Twins game.
Lennar and the BATC Foundation broke ground on the MACV house earlier this month and will officially hand over the keys in September. The home will be MACV’s first home that can support not only veterans who are experiencing homelessness, but house their families along with them.
The Lennar built home will feature five bedrooms, with the master bedroom on the main floor for handicap accessibility. The style of the home matches the character of the east St. Paul neighborhood it sits in and includes a detached garage. BATC members can watch the live feed of the construction of the home here.
All will get a chance to visit the home during this Fall Parade of Homes as it will be featured as a “special” Artisan Dream Home #1.
