Your state legislator really does listen and learn when constituents come calling. We need you to be one of them on March 12th for Builder Day on the Capitol. This is no ordinary event. We’ve got the entire day planned, all you need to do is register online at mnbuilderday.org and show up.
6 Reasons you Need to Attend Builder Day at the Capitol:
- The Local Angle. Legislators hear from industry lobbyists all the time. They love to hear from their constituents who live in their communities!
- Big Issues. We have major issues to discuss with legislators: Sprinkler Mandate, Park Fees, Metro Growth Discussions, and more.
- Everyone is Doing It. Other industry’s with far less economic impact feature well-attended Days at the Capitol. Housing is the foundation of the Twin Cities economy – we must be present and share the housing message.
- Great Itinerary. The Builder Day at the Capitol format has changed which allows you to work in the morning, then grab lunch with industry colleagues and head to the Capitol for the afternoon.
- NEW Reception Component. This year’s Builder Day features an all-new building industry reception for BATC members and legislators at the James J Hill Reference Library. You and your legislator can enjoy complimentary food and a beverage (more details below).
- Fun. It’s fun and rewarding! See you at Day at the Capitol.
Registration begins at the James J. Hill Reference Library (11:30AM) and will end at the Library with a special evening reception for members and legislators. A shuttle service will be provided to the Capitol and back, so don’t worry about transportation.
