Using data from government and industry partners, Housing First Minnesota’s Housing Dashboard provides a look at housing affordability, access and inventory in Minnesota.
Highlights From February 2022:
- Minnesota is more than 60,000 housing units short, despite a 15 year-high in new housing production 2021.
- In January 2022, Minnesota’s new housing production fell 337 units short.
- Regionally, Minnesota has the highest new, single-family median home price at $453,000
- Wisconsin Median New SFD: $350,000
- Illinois Median New SFD: $369,500
- North Dakota Median New SFD: $345,125
- Minnesota has 0.9 months supply of existing housing. A healthy market has 6-months supply.
