I truly believe more good can be done working together than individually. That’s why strategic partnerships and collaboration are an essential part of a successful association and a strong housing industry. Spring brings the opportunity for a fresh outlook on how we work together.
ASSOCIATION COLLABORATION
After another wildly successful Housing Day at the Capitol with more than 320 attendees, we continue to feel optimistic that our industry message is being heard at the Capitol. This powerful day on the hill was the result of our strong partnership with the Minnesota Association of REALTORS® and the passion of all our members who bring housing to the forefront of Minnesotans’ minds. Next up, we hope you’ll join us for Housing Day at the Fair this August. This day is another great event that we share with the REALTORS® to celebrate our industry while helping spread the word of the importance of housing in Minnesota.
Project Build Minnesota continues to be a focus as we collaborate with other construction-related associations and business groups to address the industry’s workforce challenge. The construction industry represents one of the top segments of the Minnesota economy, and Project Build Minnesota’s efforts are addressing the need for skilled labor in the field. We’re asking our legislature to step up, support this cause and help Minnesotans realize the importance of this industry to our economy.
MEMBER COLLABORATION
BATC-Housing First Minnesota’s award-winning Builders and Remodelers Show is quickly approaching and truly is a can’t-miss event. It’s your chance to meet and connect with others in the industry and experience the latest and greatest products and services. New relationships will form and old bonds will be strengthened. How exciting that we’re marketing this year’s show statewide.
Our BATC-Housing First Minnesota Foundation is another prime example of how member collaboration addresses affordability and safety in housing for homeless Twin Cities residents and veterans. The Foundation’s build partners and trade partners volunteer their time and resources resulting in life-changing residences. It’s important to recognize that these aren’t possible without strong partnerships and teamwork.
And finally, the Parade of Homes, Remodelers Showcase and Artisan Home Tour continue to be one of our strongest examples of member collaboration. Our builders and remodelers work in tandem with our associate members to constantly put their best foot forward and show consumers the best the housing industry has to offer.
There are many more ways we collaborate as an industry every day. I challenge you to forge new partnerships this spring, because when we elevate one another, we elevate the industry as a whole.
