Members Only: The Heart of What We Build
On Wednesday, Nov. 19, the Housing First Minnesota community gathered at Glass House in Minneapolis for our Members Only event—The Heart of What We Build. The evening brought together Housing First members for an evening focused on a shared purpose: reflecting on the meaning behind our work and the deeper “why” that drives us to give back to the community.
From the moment guests began to arrive, the energy in the room was warm and welcoming. The event opened with a social hour where member conversations flowed over food and drinks. It was a reminder that while our industry thrives on craftsmanship and skill, it’s the relationships we build that truly strengthen our community.
The heart of the evening was a thought-provoking panel discussion with Angela Warner, talent development manager and spokesperson at Warners’ Stellian Appliance; Luke Hanson, VP of strategy at Hanson Builders, Inc.; and Jamie Tharp, division president at Pulte Group, LLC. Each of the panelists shared stories about generosity, service, and the impact of giving back. They spoke candidly about the moments that shaped their personal and professional journeys—supporting the community and recognizing the charitable impact we can have as leaders in the housing industry.
Their stories highlighted something powerful: When a culture of giving takes root, it brings companies and individuals together to create a better, stronger community.
Guests left with a renewed sense of purpose and pride. Thank you to each member who joined us and helped make the evening meaningful and memorable.

Give to the Max Day Was a Huge Success!
We’re thrilled to share exciting news—on Give to the Max Day, we surpassed our $20,000 fundraising goal, reaching an incredible $21,635! This achievement is a result of the generosity of our supporters, and the passion and belief in the work we do.
Your partnership fuels our mission and strengthens our ability to create lasting change through housing. With this momentum, we’re entering the season of giving energized and inspired.
But the impact doesn’t stop here. Even though we’ve met our Give to the Max goal, there’s still time to make a difference. Donations to our year-end campaign remain open, and every contribution—large or small—helps fund upcoming build projects and expands the reach of our work.
