With less than three weeks to go in the 2018 Minnesota Legislative Session, we are entering the final stages of governing before the conversation shifts to the fall elections.
For the past few weeks, the discussion at the Capitol has revolved around omnibus bills. Both of BATC-Housing First Minnesota’s legislative priorities, reducing the regulatory burden for Minnesota families and addressing the workforce shortage with an allocation towards Project Build Minnesota, have been included in some capacity. Both chambers are currently discussing and voting on these large bills and will be in joint conference committees in the coming days before they are sent to the Governor.
