Builder Day at the Capitol was once again a great success! The chilly temperatures didn’t stop hundreds of home building industry members from climbing the steps of the state Capitol. The event proved to be a great opportunity for BATC members, BAM members and members from the 12 greater Minnesota home builders associations, to share with their legislators why home building matters.
Topping the issue list this year was the new building and energy code and how it’s already impacting our industry. Following behind that were warranty and liability issues as well as the workforce housing initiative.
Most importantly the day offered members a chance to get to know their legislators and let them know the impact the housing industry has on each and every community.
Builder Day By the Numbers
– over 80 legislators met with.
– 132 companies and organizations represented.
– More than 4 hours spent at Capitol.

– Number of times the sprinkler mandate was mentioned…too many to count.
THANK YOU again to all our sponsors who made this great event possible.
