On Tuesday, April 18, BATC members Kent Brander of Civil Methods and Bob Schunicht of Land Form, along with Nick Erickson, regulatory affairs manager, met with representatives of the Met Council to discuss land planning and land supply issues. BATC will continue to meet with Met Council staff over the coming months to refine how the Council estimates land supply.
This is the follow up to a March meeting on the same topic.
On Wednesday, April 19, Erickson attended the meeting of the Environmental Quality Board (EQB) at the State Capitol. The main agenda item was a look at an initiative to raise Minnesota’s water quality by 25 percent by the year 2025. The EQB will soon travel the state to gather input for this program.
BATC was also present at the April 26 meeting of the Board of Soil and Water Resources, which was approving a series of local water management plans as well as providing updates from state agencies.
