The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) announced today that winter load increases in the north frost zone will end starting Monday, March 17. This will begin spring load restrictions in the north frost zone, which is already in effect in all other zones.
Spring load restrictions end dates are variable and based on weather. When spring load restrictions are lifted, middle-range overweight permits will become available. Full-summer overweight permits will become available two to three weeks after this.
MnDOT will report start and end dates locally at 651-366-5400.
