Since 2015, the TBG Education Foundation has been dedicated to strengthening the future of Minnesota’s construction industry by partnering with industry leaders to financially support individuals exploring careers in the trades.
The Foundation’s Purpose & Mission: Committed to Education, Opportunity & Growth
Its Purpose: The Foundation exists to increase awareness of skilled construction trade career opportunities, promote long-term career viability, and provide financial support through grants and scholarships.
Its Mission: The Foundation is driven by a mission to encourage students to pursue careers in Minnesota’s construction industry.
Contributions help enable the Foundation to:
- Invest in much-needed skilled-trade training programs in schools statewide
- Promote a range of rewarding construction career opportunities to students
- Help address Minnesota’s construction workforce shortages head-on
Real Impact in Minnesota Classrooms
A recent example of the Foundation’s impact can be seen at Providence Academy. In 2025, the Foundation helped fund updated, industry-standard equipment, strengthening hands-on learning for students exploring careers in construction and skilled trades.
Through wood and metal shop programs, students move from design to build, gaining real-world experience with industry-standard tools. This hands-on approach builds practical skills, reinforces problem-solving, and introduces the mindset needed for success in construction-related careers.
