This week, our community came together for a momentous celebration—the official ribbon cutting of Veteran Village in Eagan, the largest and most impactful project the Housing First Minnesota Foundation has undertaken to date. What began as a vision to provide hope, stability, and long-term housing solutions for veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness has now become a thriving village—and residents are already beginning to move into their new homes, with many more joining them before the end of the year.
The ribbon cutting brought together partners, supporters, donors, and community members for a meaningful program filled with gratitude and pride. Attendees enjoyed a live National Anthem performance, presentation of the colors, flyover, remarks from project leaders, self-guided home tours, pizza, and time to connect with others who helped make this extraordinary project possible.

A Collective Effort That Built More Than Homes
Veteran Village is a testament to what can be accomplished through generosity, partnership, and shared purpose. This project would not have been possible without the dedication and collaboration of our four presenting partners:
- Housing First Minnesota Foundation
- Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV)
- Lennar
- Lennar Foundation
Together, we each brought our own expertise, resources, and heart to a mission centered on honoring those who have served our country.

We are also deeply grateful for the grantmaking organizations whose support fueled every step of the project:
- Home Depot Foundation
- Hubbard Broadcasting Foundation
- Eagan Community Foundation
- Roles Family Foundation
- Remick Family Foundation
- Bank of America – HomeAid

To all the donors, supporters, trade partners, and community members who made this project possible: Thank you. Your generosity transformed blueprints into homes and hope into reality. We truly could not have done this without the collective strength of Minnesota’s building industry and the commitment of every partner who believed in this mission. As we welcome veterans into their new homes and prepare for many more move-ins before year’s end, we celebrate not only the completion of a construction project but also the beginning of new futures.
